Watch: Tyler Ennis’ Miracle 3 Pointer Keeps Syracuse Undefeated

USP NCAA BASKETBALL: SYRACUSE AT PITTSBURGH S BKC USA PA

The legend of Syracuse freshman Tyler Ennis continues to grow.
Prior to the beginning of the college season, prominently deemed “The Season of the Freshman”, most media outlets were focused on a bevy of potential one-and-done players like Kansas’ Andrew Wiggins, Kentucky’s Julius Randle, and Duke’s Jabari Parker.
While those superstar talents have been on display all season, an under the radar frosh has been the key to the Syracuse Orange’s fantastic 23-0 start to the season, namely Tyler Ennis.
Ennis may not have some of the eye-popping stats of some other players across the nation, but he has arguably been one of the nation’s top floor generals through February, displaying the poise of an upperclassmen, while guiding the Orange to it’s best ever start under legendary head  coach Jim Boeheim.
As part of ESPN’s Rivalry Week, the nation’s top ranked team, Syracuse Orange, took on the #25 ranked Pittsburgh Panthers, in only their 2nd ever match-up as part of the ACC Conference.
With college basketball’s top rivalry game, Duke vs North Carolina postponed because of snow, viewers were treated to a tough Big East type drag out contest, featuring numerous lead changes but saw the Panthers pull away late until some late game heroics by senior CJ Fair, made it a 2 point lead by Pitt.
Enter Tyler Ennis, as the freshman calmly sank 2 clutch free throws on the road in the final minute, followed by 2 free throws by Pitt big man Talib Zanna, with just over 4 seconds remaining.
That proved to be too much time for the Panthers as Ennis drove to within 35 feet of the basket before heaving up a miracle 3 point buzzer beater that kept the orange undefeated(24-0), continuing Syracuse’s magical season…
